For more than 16 years, Lori Koidahl has been the driver behind the successful development and launch of products, promotions, and customer communications strategies for leading Pacific Northwest companies.
She began her career after earning a degree in public relations and political science from the University of Washington. After serving as an Account Coordinator with EvansGroup Advertising, Lori became a marketing manager with Pietro’s Corporation, developing and executing marketing plans for 50 local restaurants, increasing revenues as well as employee morale.
Lori then applied her marketing savvy and strong organizational skills to the high-tech industry, helping Microsoft create and manage programs to measure, report, and analyze online advertising campaigns. In one year she also produced 35 on-site developer conferences. These efforts helped Microsoft’s Personal and Business Systems Marketing Group better meet its goals in targeting and evangelizing their products to key customer and partner segments.
While Vice President of Marketing Solutions at Kindred Communications, Lori managed 30 percent of the service firm’s billings as well as teams of project managers, writers, editors, and analysts. Her expert handling of Kindred’s Microsoft relationship helped Kindred become the second fastest-growing privately owned company in the Northwest in 1999. Lori’s team managed 45 web sites for Microsoft Canada and developed traditional and online marketing programs for numerous Microsoft US clients.
To expand upon her experience in marketing and technology, in 2000 Lori joined PhotoWorks as Director of Online Services. Her cross-functional team of 14 developed and maintained the PhotoWorks web site, which managed thousands of transactions daily. Lori also led the development of the industry’s first PhotoDVD product.
Promoted to Director of Information Technology for PhotoWorks, Lori took on the challenge of reinventing the IT department, to raise productivity and reduce costs. Her team of 28 managed the company’s technical infrastructure, software development, and ecommerce web site. In this role Lori applied her creativity and leadership skills to develop more flexible digital printing systems that increased customer satisfaction by decreasing turnaround time, as well as increasing digital print volume output.
Lori’s ability to translate customer needs into tangible results, while motivating and mentoring multi-disciplined teams has consistently exceeded the expectations of her employers, co-workers, and clients. By founding LK Unlimited in 2004, Lori has made herself available to a wider range of businesses with the kinds of challenges she thrives on.
